It was so exciting to welcome our kindergarten students to the building for in person instruction last week! The Kindergarten Team did a great job preparing for a smooth transition and it was a successful week for our youngest students. We are eager to continue welcoming more of our students back into our building. We know that as parents, you are juggling many responsibilities and lots of information coming your way right now.
Please note the dates and important information in this newsletter. As a reminder, on an asynchronous day students will log in for Morning Meeting and then work independently. These days provide teachers and staff time for planning and professional development. On a day that is classified as a student holiday (ie, March 8) students will have no independent work and will not log in for Morning Meeting.
All parents have now received notification regarding which days your children will attend in person if have selected that option for your child. You will also find bus information (bus stop and time) in your ParentVue account.
As always, feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or to any of us in the office with any questions you may have.

Franklin Sherman has an active Equity Team supporting our staff, school, and community. On March 8th, our staff will engage in our ongoing professional development of our strategies to support all members of our community through a focus on equity. This year, we have focused on using asset-based language to describe our students - recognizing the strengths that all of our children possess. Next week, we will be examining practices to ensure we continue to provide all members of our community with a sense of belonging and access to high quality education through our inclusive practices.
