School Board Votes to Rename Mosby Woods Elementary School as Mosaic Elementary School
The Fairfax County School Board has chosen Mosaic Elementary School as the new name for Mosby Woods Elementary School, a reflection of the school’s multicultural community that will represent inclusivity for students, families, and staff members. The new name will become effective at the start of the 2021-22 school year.
Emergency Care, Health Information, and Health Screening Commitment Forms are due.
If you haven’t returned your Emergency Care, Health Information, and/or Health Screening Commitment form yet, we encourage you to use the WeCare system to update your contact information. WeCare is an emergency care information system, available to FCPS parents and guardians who have registered for their own ParentVUE account in SIS. WeCare helps manage emergency medical information by enabling parents to enter and update their children’s medical data at their convenience online. Visit this website for more information. Parents are also welcome to drop off paper forms in the labeled box outside the school doors or scan and send in an email to MosbyWoodsForms@fcps.edu.

We are looking for Kindergarten students for next school year!
Each year schools conduct a survey to determine the number of children eligible for kindergarten enrollment.
Any parent with a child who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2021 is required to complete and return the Survey of Preschool Children form by the end of March. If you have an eligible neighbor child, please pass this form or information on to them or call the school for additional forms (703-937-1600). Please email the completed form to Mosby Woods Forms.
You can also go to the Mosby Woods Registration webpage to submit the same information. Once we receive your survey/information, we will be in touch with information on how to register your incoming Kindergartner!
