Fairfax Families for Safe Streets
Next meeting is March 1, 2021
6:30-8:00 p.m.
Fairfax Families for Safe Streets is a new non-profit coalition of concerned citizens and is looking for people interested in learning more about safe streets for all. There are lots of ways to help Fairfax Families For Safe Streets. Why volunteer with Fairfax FSS?
The Cause: As a volunteer, you’ll be positively affecting and promoting safe streets for all including children, seniors, and the disabled.
Learn new useful skills: No experience is necessary, and you can volunteer as much or as little as your schedule permits. We train all of our volunteers and will help get you involved in areas you may be interested in. You’ll learn valuable skills you can apply in other career fields. You will meet leaders in the safe streets network and in our local communities. No other benefits are bestowed in exchange for your volunteer work other than the joy of giving to an organization that supports safe streets for all people.
Become part of an organization of concerned citizens: Fairfax Families For Safe Streets is a forum for people who are concerned about pedestrian safety within our community. We’re an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that spends 100% of our time and resources advancing and promoting smart mobility in our region. We celebrate our work through weekend outreach events, group walks, advocacy change in selected traffic regulations, analytics of “Near Miss” survey data compared to reported crash data, as well as educational and social activities.
