("When I Am One Hundred Years Old" - Kindergarten celebrates 100s Day)

Hello Haycock Families,

We are very excited to welcome some of our Kindergarten students back into the building next week.  Kindergarten parents should have received emails from the school and from classroom teachers giving details about next week.  Please see the resources included below to prepare students for returning in person and for our students who will remain virtual.

Our in person return timeline remains as follows:

Kindergarten- returns beginning on Feb. 23

Grades 1 and 2- return beginning on March 9

Grades 3-6- return beginning on March 16

Our families with students returning in person should have received an email indicating their days of in person attendance, either Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday/Friday.  If you have additional questions or need clarification, please contact the office.

Our transition to concurrent instruction will involve an increase in asynchronous learning for our at home students at first while we put in place measures for the in person/at school students. The instructional transition to the hybrid, concurrent model involves new classroom technology and we need time to adjust our students to face to face expectations and build comfort in the classroom.

I ask for your patience as our students who are on their two days at home will initially see an increase in asynchronous time while we make these adjustments. Each grade level has different needs and teachers will communicate the schedule to you in their weekly correspondence. It is my expectation that these transitions will be smooth, and that all children will be learning concurrently for longer periods of the day as quickly as possible.

With appreciation for your partnership and support,

Dr. Liz Beaty

Principal
