All Schools and Central Offices Closed. No In-person or Virtual Learning
Schools and central offices are closed tomorrow. In-person and virtual learning are canceled tomorrow. The following activities in schools and on school grounds are canceled:
- appointments for in-person assessments and interventions
- extracurricular activities
- interscholastic contests
- team practices
- field trips
- middle school after-school programs
- professional learning and training courses
- adult and community education classes
- recreation programs and community use by outside groups not affiliated with FCPS
- Supporting Return to School (SRS) programs are closed
Employees designated as essential personnel shall follow supervisor direction. Emergency administrative leave is authorized for all other personnel.
All FCPS staff who have vaccination appointments are asked to check their email accounts and the Inova website for updates and instructions before going to their appointments.
The Fairfax County School Board meeting on Thursday, February 18 will be held virtually beginning at 7 p.m.
