Free Food Available:
Saturday, February 20, 8:30-9:30am (or until supplies last): Boxes of fresh produce, meat, eggs, and gallon of milk at Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park Street, NE, Vienna VA 22180 (enter from Park Street). This program will be monthly on third Saturdays. For more information or to see if event has been cancelled due to bad weather, check www.viennapres.org.

Join us for our month-long celebration of kindness in February at VES! This year’s theme is “Vienna Runs on Kindness.” Find ways to show kindness toward others and let’s continue to spread kindness throughout our community.

YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW - Extended Through Friday, February 26
Yearbooks are on sale now. Please go to JostensYearbooks.com to order your yearbook. Once you are on the site, please select Vienna ES, Vienna VA. Yearbooks are on sale through February 16 and are $20.
Yearbook - Photos and Valiant Words
Thank you for all the wonderful photos you've sent to the yearbook email. Please keep them coming so we can include all of this year's students in our yearbook! Directions for uploading pictures are listed below. We would like an individual picture of every student for the grade level page. If you did not get your picture taken in the fall by Victor O'Neil, please send us a picture. If you'd like us to use last year's individual picture of your student, please email smbaumer@fcps.edu.
The yearbook committee has chosen a few fun topics. Please send us pictures of the following topics:

- Pets and Furry Friends
- Vacations/Staycations
- Snow
- Hobbies and Talents
- Classroom Activities/After School Activities
IMPORTANT
When uploading a picture, please name the picture with the following criteria: name of student/grade/teacher/topic (e.g., individual picture, sports page, etc.) An example of a file name is: baumer2dempseypetpage The name and information in the file name is key for us to be able to easily sort pictures and get them on the correct page. We also want to make sure and have all students represented in the yearbook. If a picture isn't named with the information mentioned, it may not be used in the yearbook.
DIRECTIONS FOR UPLOADING PICTURES
Log on to : images.jostens.com (we are using REPLAYIT, a private photo submission link)
Enter Login ID: 415468763
Browse to select photo(s) you wish to upload, click on "select my images"
Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the yearbook committee needs to contact you
click "upload chosen images"
The deadline for submitting pictures is March 20, 2021.
The yearbook committee is looking forward to creating a memorable yearbook from this unusual school year.

- Join licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Lisa Bateman for a webinar focused on parenting strategies to help children cope with the challenges of the pandemic.
- Strategies include:
- Coping with general stress, changes in daily life/routine, uncertainty about the future, loss of regular activities and social interaction, virtual school, etc.
- Executive functioning to assist with the challenges of virtual school
- Managing anxiety about health and safety
- Building resilience in children to reduce risk of separation anxiety, social anxiety, etc. once the pandemic ends
