We will be starting a new bell schedule on February 16th. School will begin at 8:20 and end at 2:50. Bell schedules are posted below and can also be found on our website here: Bell Schedules | Thomas A. Edison High School (fcps.edu)The new bell schedule applies to all classes, both virtual and in-person. Please be sure to note the change in both the class times and the start and end time each day. This schedule adjustment is being made at all high schools in FCPS. The first schedule below begins on Tuesday, February 16, and ends Friday, February 26. During this time, we will only have one lunch period. The schedule will change AGAIN on March 2 as we accommodate four lunch shifts for everyone.

Whether the portrait was taken by another professional photographer (not associated with the school) or you take the picture yourself, as long as it meets the specifications outlined HERE (you must be signed onto an FCPSschools.net account), we can include it in the 2020-21 yearbook.

You must be female and a rising high school senior to be considered for attendance at Virginia Virtual Girls State. All potential delegates must provide a copy of their U.S. Birth Certificate or their current/valid U.S. Government-Issued documentation verifying Legal Residency in the United States, such as a Green Card, Passport, or Visa, when applying. Please submit the Completed Application, a Letter of Recommendation, Statement of Citizenship/Legal Residency Form, and a copy of your Birth Certificate/Legal Residency Verification no later than 3:30PM on Friday, February 19, 2021. We are sponsoring two dates for mock SAT/ACT tests for students to learn what to expect by taking an official, full-length proctored exam under test-like conditions. Afterwards, students will receive a comprehensive score report that identifies strengths and targets areas for improvement.
A Zoom link will be sent on the test day for students to take the test on paper, from home, live-online proctored. Once the test is graded, you will receive emailed instructions on how to access your comprehensive score report and item analysis. You are welcome to take both tests (one per weekend). Please register at least a week in advance ($20 fundraiser, benefiting EHS). To register, go to www.applerouth.com/signup and enter the event code. The first date is Saturday, February 20, 2021; the second date is April 17 and we will post that information early in April.
