Bell schedules will be adjusted across all grade levels as part of the phase-in plan. The new middle school hours are 7:30am-2:00pm. We will move to a new bell schedule beginning Tuesday, February 16th.
We will implement a REVISED bell schedule with THREE lunch shifts on March 2nd when Group 8A returns to school. With the return of in-person students, we must allow for appropriate social distancing in all locations including the cafeteria. Any revisions to the bell schedule will apply to both in-person and virtual students. We will send additional information regarding lunch assignments as we get closer to the March return date.

My name is Elinora Stoney and I am reaching out on behalf of the Carnegie Mellon Society of Women Engineers Outreach team. Our job is to reach out to local schools around the Pittsburgh area trying to get more young girls involved in engineering and STEM at large. However, because our events are virtual this year, we are reaching out to schools in other locations as well! I live in the Clifton, VA community and I wanted to share one of our opportunities with you and your students at Liberty Middle School.
Middle School Day is an all-day virtual event where middle school girls are invited ‘on to campus’ to learn more about the various disciplines of engineering and STEM. Students will spend the day attending a series of fun and engaging workshops led by Carnegie Melon University professors, graduate, and undergraduate students. Middle School Day will be held on Friday March 19 running from 9:00am-2:30pm. The registration link is found here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/carnegie-mellon-universitys-swe-middle-school-day-tickets-135432984703 **If interested, there are more required forms found in the informational PDF attached to this email**
If you think any of your female students might be interested in this event I have attached more information below. I really hope that you can forward this information to LMS teachers, parents, and students so that they can have a chance to take part in our Middle School Day this coming March.
Please be aware, however, that the Middle School Day deadline is Feb 15. If you have any additional questions, feel free email me.
Kind Regards,
Elinora Stoney

Health Screening Commitment Form Required Prior to Student Return to School Buildings
Parents, guardians, or caregivers are required to complete a Health Screening Commitment Form before a student returns to the school building for in-person learning. This document confirms that a parent, guardian, or caregiver will complete a daily health screening and will keep students home should they become ill.
|
With the current pause in the return to school timeline, families are encouraged to go ahead and complete the form so the requirement is met whenever new return dates are established.
To access the form, log in to ParentVUE and the Health Screening Commitment Form can be submitted electronically. If you would like a hard copy emailed to you, or if you do not have an active ParentVUE account, please contact Jenni Carnahan at jscarnahan@fcps.edu.
