Monday, February 15th is Presidents Day holiday and school will be closed.
Students will NOT have to login and complete asynchronous assignments.
All FCPS schools are changing their bell schedule on Tuesday, February 16th. This means a schedule change for ALL students, whether they chose to remain virtual or will be returning to school.

During our PTA Meeting this week we shared the new Tuesday-Friday Instructional Schedule. This schedule will begin on February 16th. You can see a copy of it here.
Your child’s teacher will provide you with an updated daily schedule.
We have scheduled virtual parent meetings (listed below) to review details for in person learning, mitigation strategies, and updates to schedules and to answer questions families may have.
On the day of the meeting, you will receive an email with directions on joining the meeting.

Beginning Monday, February 23rd, we will start a new plan for Asynchronous Mondays. Staff will continue to check in with students for morning meetings and will provide students with independent work assignments/tasks. Some small groups and interventions will continue as planned.
Given our schoolwide transition to concurrent instruction, we will utilize Mondays for ongoing planning and professional development for school teams and staff.
Next week, February 16-19, is Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Spirit Week.
Join us in spreading kindness to others through our Kindness Spirit Week! Each day we will highlight one idea that can help spread kindness to others. Together, let’s make kindness the norm!
Lees Corner will be hosting a Donation Drive next Tuesday through Friday, February 16-19, where families are welcome to donate specified goods in marked bins at the entrance of our school during the school day. Any donation is much appreciated and will help others in need!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We need your help in projecting the Kindergarten enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year. Virginia Law, section 22.1-254, requires that children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2021, must be enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year unless the parent or guardian notifies the school in writing that they do not wish the child to attend school until the following year.
If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2021, please complete this form and return it no later than February 26, 2021. If any of your neighbors have children who will be eligible for Kindergarten, please share this information with them, as we are especially interested in reaching those Lees Corner families who do not have children currently attending school.
Please email the completed form and any questions to Jill Boddie, Registrar, at jwboddie@fcps.edu.
Library curbside pickup will be held on the Mondays listed below from 11 AM to 2 PM.
