WAKEFIELD FOREST ES WEEKLY MESSAGE

front of school

Dear Wakefield Forest Families,

We hosted our first of three Return to School Family Sessions this morning. The information reviewed at this session can also be found here on our website. We will host two additional sessions on February 16, 2021 at 4:00 PM and February 18, 2021 at 12:00 PM join here. Classroom teachers will be providing specific information about what materials your child should plan to bring to school.

WFES has over 60% of students returning in-person in the hybrid model. While we are very excited so many families are ready to be back in the building, this does mean we have hit the maximum capacity on some classrooms and grade levels for shifts to in-person instruction. These caps are to ensure we are able to maintain the recommended 6ft social distancing in classrooms.

Thank you.

Sharyn Prindle

Positivity Project: Love

Love means you value close relationships with others and being close to people  Love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships.  When one person loves another person, that person comforts and makes the other feel safe, sacrifices on the other’s behalf, supports the other during struggles, and places the other’s needs ahead of their own.  If you love a person, that person makes you feel safe and secure.  You can be yourself with that person.

   Yearbook Updates

Submissions due by February 19

We are seeking family submissions of photos of students and their artwork for the Wakefield Forest 2020-2021 Yearbook.  Please submit photos of your children at their computers, doing schoolwork/activities, or dressed up for one of our spirit days, as well as high quality photos of student artwork in any medium here

If you did not have your child take a school portrait in December and do not plan on having your child's photo taken on March 22 (see above), you are encouraged to submit a “head shot” of your child (actually from the mid-chest up) for their class page in the yearbook.  These home shot portraits can be submitted here (use Chrome for best results).
