Herndon ES Grab and Go Time change for February 10
Alert: Herndon ES is a Weekly Meal Kit Site. Due to a forecast of cold weather next week, on Wednesday, February 10, the hours will be 10 am-12:30 pm.
HES offers Meal Kits which contain seven days of breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and supper items packed in bulk.

 Dranesville District FCPS School Board Member Features 4th Grade in her Newsletter
FCPS School Board Member, Elaine Tholen, who represents Herndon ES, the Herndon Pyramid, and the entire Dranesville District, featured Herndon Elementary School’s 4th grade virtual visit with Storm Team 7 in her December newsletter.
The Month of February is School Board Appreciation Month and we want to express our deepest appreciation to Ms. Tholen, and all of the FCPS School Board members, who have worked tirelessly on behalf of our families, students, and staff during this unprecedented and very challenging time.

Jive in the Hive kickoff Monday, February 8!
Our Jive in the Hive Dance-a-thon begins on Monday, and our students and staff are so excited! Please support our school today - here’s how:
1. REGISTER your student(s) on funrun.com today. It takes 30 seconds!
2. SHARE with 5 family/friends using the SHARE tools on funrun.com (Facebook, Text Message or Email) Students will earn prizes just for sharing from funrun.com.
3. GIVE a donation if you can give. Every share and donation makes a difference! And don’t forget…
Students can earn prizes when parents share from funrun.com.
All students can participate in the event day, regardless of financial participation.
This fundraiser comes with an incredible character development program for students where they will be learning about the importance of teamwork, care, courage, grit, and celebration! Thank you for supporting our school! We are grateful for our amazing school community!

Chess Club Starts Next Week
