Curbside Library Service
Monday, February 8
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Kiss & Ride Loop
Deadline to request books or grab bags is Friday, February 5 at 4:00 PM.
Students can place holds on only two books in a series. For example, you may not place three or more holds on the Wimpy Kid series. Also, you may request only two books of the same type. Examples would be no more than two holds on Calvin and Hobbes or books about Ancient China. Please return overdue books, or books that have been read, so that we can put them into the hands of other students.
-
For Students in Grades K-2: We will prepare grab bags (a random assortment of books) for students in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. Parents should complete this form (https://tinyurl.com/hwescurbside) prior to picking up grab bags so that our library staff can reserve the books in your child's name. Parents may also choose to enter holds for specific books for younger students by using the Destiny online library system (link below).
-
For Students in Grades 3-6: Begin by placing up to five books on hold in our Destiny online library system (link below). It is recommended that students vary their selection. If a student places only very popular books on hold, they could run into the situation where all of the books they request are already checked out. Popular books may have longer waiting times.
- Both the parent and student will receive an email notice when the books placed on hold are ready. Please remember that the books will only be available for pick up on a scheduled pick up event date at HWES.
Before arriving in the Kiss & Ride loop, please make a sign with your student’s name (LAST name, FIRST name) printed on it, so we can find and deliver your books efficiently.
