Principal's Message

Dear Whitman Community,

National School Counseling week is February 1-5 with a theme of “School Counselors:  All In for All Students”.  The purpose is to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors to school communities.  It is meant to highlight the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.  Join me in recognizing Mrs. Hooper, Ms. Roberts, Ms. Deck, and Mr. Fisher, Whitman’s amazing counselors!!

On February 2, the FCPS School Board will hold a work session to (hopefully) finalize our Return to School Plan.  Tune in if you want to hear the discussion.  Once the plan is approved, I will be holding a Town Hall meeting to answer any questions parents or students may have about returning to in-person learning.

Thank you for all you are doing and have a great weekend!  Looks like it will be a frigid one with the possibility of snow!

Sincerely,

Dr. Craig Herring
