Attention New Students!

Please join us for a new family coffee.  We will be presenting information on technology, the plan to return to school, and providing opportunities  to meet other new families in small groups.  We will provide time to answer questions on school procedures.  The New Family Coffee will be at 8:45am on Wednesday, February 10th. A link to the BBCU session will be e-mailed to all families the day before the meeting.

Laptop Health

Keep Your FCPS Laptop Healthy

If you have an FCPS laptop at home that you are using for online learning, it may be “due for a check-up.”  The school laptops can benefit from connecting to our FCPS network on occasion to download and install updates that aren’t accessible from your home’s Wi-Fi network.  This includes updates that keep the laptop’s Windows license active, making sure the laptop’s clock is properly synced, and ensuring that the latest versions of our security and filtering software are installed.

We ask that any families who are using an FCPS-owned device regularly bring the laptop by the school to connect to the FCPS Wi-Fi network.  You don’t need to enter the building to do this.  Simply bring the laptop within the range of our network (on the sidewalk outside of the school or even in the school’s parking lot).  Once there, turn on the laptop and log into your account, then use the RESTART option to have the computer start again while connected to the FCPS network.  Once the computer has finished restarting and installing the updates, wait 3-5 minutes and then you should be good to go.  You can do this process at any FCPS facility, not just Spring Hill.

Remember, additional technology support for families is available at https://springhilles.fcps.edu/announcements/technology-support-families.  Thank you for your assistance.

Spring Hill Library News

Curbside Checkout is now running every week and includes Monday afternoons! Until students return to the building, the schedule for pickup times will be flexible based on the librarians’ schedules. Students may request specific books from the library catalog and/or request a Mystery Bag of books (K-2 or 3-6). Please see the library website for more information or email questions to SpringHillLibrary@fcps.edu.

Art Watercolor Set Pickup

Watercolor sets have finally arrived at Spring Hill ES! Art teachers Ms. Ashe and Ms. Moon will begin painting soon with their students. Please come by school to pick up your child’s watercolor set:
