We hope you can come by GBE on the February 1st!
A Friend for Henry , a heartfelt story from the perspective of a boy on the autism spectrum that celebrates the everyday magic of friendship.
Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus , the bestselling middle grade novel about a spunky girl born without arms and a boy with Tourette syndrome navigating the challenges of middle school, disability, and friendship--all while solving a mystery in a western theme park. For students who read this book, author Dusti Bowling will meet with students virtually! (More details on the virtual author visit provided below).
Forget Me Not, this story thoughtfully traces the fragile emotions of two seventh graders: Calliope, a girl painfully self-conscious about having Tourette syndrome, and Jinsong, a popular boy she meets in her new town. The author herself has Tourette syndrome, bringing a heartfelt authenticity to the story.
Virtual Author Visit with Dusti Bowling!
We will be virtually hosting a visit with Dusti Bowling, author of The Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus on Monday, March 22nd at 2pm.
All GBE community members are invited.
