I’m doing my part to keep myself and our community safe. Several of our teachers and staff have had their first vaccination or have secured their appointment. Continue to wear your mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands.
We can do this together!

A Message from South County Middle School
Thank you to all the families that attended Curriculum Night this past week. This information-packed night served as the official kick off to the 2021-2022 school year. Our goal was to inform students and parents about the courses and curriculum at SCMS and help families make informed decisions prior to the upcoming course registration process.
We know that some of our families were not able to attend, while other may want to review the information at their own pace. As such, we created a landing page with many resources and informational videos about the curriculum at SCMS. We also uploaded the recorded versions of all synchronous sessions (introduction, core pathways, math sequences, and elctive) for you and your students to review.
We look forward to seeing you soon, and please do not hesitate to reach out with questions!
Sincerely,
Peter Kownacki Principal South County Middle School
Optional Virginia Early Childhood Family Survey
VDOE, UVA, and the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) want to learn about Virginia families’ experiences with the care and/or education for their young children (birth through kindergarten) this year. The Virginia Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDBB5) study wants to reach as many Virginia families as possible to better understand the experiences and challenges of families with young children in Virginia. To support this outreach, please be sure to check the following Virginia Survey of Families with Young Children flyer . Parents of young children are invited to participate in this study by completing a voluntary and anonymous survey available at vafamilysurvey.info. Note that the deadline is January 25, 2021.
Thank you.
