Office Hours for Parents

Many families have questions about the COVID-19 mitigation strategies that will be used when students return to in-person learning. Others are curious about concurrent learning and what it might look like for a child who selected virtual learning for the year. Bring these questions to the Parent Office Hours hosted later this month!

These virtual sessions are designed for parents to drop by, ask their questions, and stay for as long as they like.

Please join us on the following days and times at this link:

  • Tuesday, January 26 from 4:00 - 5:00

Calling Future Kindergartners

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We need your help in projecting the Kindergarten enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year. Virginia Law, section 22.1-254, requires that children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2021, must be enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year unless the parent or guardian notifies the school in writing that they do not wish the child to attend school until the following year.

If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2021, please complete this form and return it no later than January 29, 2021. If any of your neighbors have children who will be eligible for Kindergarten, please share this information with them, as we are especially interested in reaching those Brookfield families who do not have children currently attending school.

Appointments with families will be scheduled in the near future with the timelines below:

  • Jan 25 – Feb 12  Current students in Head Start
  • March 1 – March 26 Siblings of current students
  • April 5   New families

Please email the completed form and questions you have to Sussy Carbajal  at smcarbajal@fcps.edu
