Science Olympiad - Division A Interest Meeting TONIGHT!(grades 3-5)
An information meeting for GFES Science Olympiad - Division A will be held on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00pm via conference call. For call information, please email scienceolympiad@gfespta.com. The conference call link will be sent to you by 10 a.m. on January 19th. We hope you will join us for this introductory meeting for Science Olympiad Division A (grades 3-5)!

2nd Quarter Art Enrichment
If you haven’t had a chance yet, our 2nd quarter art enrichment lesson is still available on our website! Students will learn about Claude Monet and create Impressionistic Q-Tip Miniatures inspired by his work. Click HERE for the lesson plan and slides. Click HERE for the lesson video.
If you do not have a kit, you’ll need to gather these supplies for the project - 4x6 white notecards or similarly sized cardstock, black cardstock for framing, tempera paint in a variety of colors, paper plates for mixing colors, Q-Tips for paintbrushes, newspaper to cover your work space
Before/After School Spanish Spring Registration Continues
Registration for the before & after school Spanish program spring session scheduled to run from February 16 to May 21 is now open! Classes will build on learning from the previous sessions, but a new beginner class is being offered as well. CLICK HERE for class information and registration form.
2021 Virginia PTA Citizenship Essay Contest
Virginia PTA is committed to promoting a sense of citizenship and responsibility in the lives of our children – tomorrow’s leaders. To demonstrate the value that the Virginia PTA places on good citizenship, they are sponsoring, supporting, and encouraging Virginia students to write an essay for the 2021 Citizenship Essay Contest. This year’s selected theme is “How can we stand together when we are so far apart?”
If your child is interested in entering the contest, please see complete rules and entry requriements HERE. Entry deadline is February 1st 2021.
