Calendar Reminder

As a reminder, schools and offices will be closed tomorrow for the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday, and on Wednesday, January 20, for Inauguration Day.

Who was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an African American minister who advocated so that all people would be treated fairly.  He helped advanced civil rights through nonviolence and civil disobedience.  King led and participated in marches and helped organize the 1963 March on Washington, where he delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a day to remember how he advocated to end racial segregation and promote racial equality.    

Slide into 2021 Spirit Week

Week three of our Spirit Week begins on Tuesday.  Take our spirit day challenge with a different theme for every day in January.  We encourage you to take pictures of your students participating in the fun challenges throughout the month and send them to oakhillesmedia@gmail.com.  Have a blast!
