Dear Shrevewood Families,

We hope everyone had a good week! We are excited to share that many of our staff will begin receiving the COVID vaccine over the next few weeks. We do not have any updates as to when students will return to in-person learning, and we are hopeful that with the vaccine the return will happen sooner rather than later. The School Board will review the Return to School plan the beginning of February.

Just a reminder that there is no school next week on Monday and Wednesday and on Friday there is a 2 hour early release.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Joshua DeSmyter & Tylea Holley

"Go Paperless" Progress Reports

The “Go Paperless” option is still available to all ES parents to allow them to only receive online progress reports. This will not impact any other mailings from FCPS other than the progress reports for ES students and report cards for secondary students. To take advantage of the paperless options, parents and/or guardians will need to:

  1. Log into ParentVUE,
  2. Then go to “My Account”
  3. Select "Go Paperless"

All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports. The “Go Paperless” option will apply to all their associated students, no matter what school level. If the associated parent and/or guardian has already selected “Go Paperless” for their secondary student, the option will now apply to any ES siblings as well.  If you do not have access to ParentVue please contact our Registrar, Maria Giuliani: mggiuliani@fcps.edu

Return to School Health Forms

For students who are returning for in-person learning, all families, must complete the Health Screening Commitment form prior to the first day of when your student will return.

Please email the Health Commitment Form to KMNaccarato@fcps.edu or drop off to the front office between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Again, we need the form prior to the student’s return to school.

Helping Hands are Here for You!

Could your student use another helping hand? Someone who can listen, troubleshoot, ask questions, and support getting work completed?

Mrs. Mohyla would like to offer her support! Students can log in to get tech help, ask questions about assignments from any grade level or subject, and time with a patient adult to help them achieve their academic goals. Your student will set the agenda, and Mrs. Mohyla will focus on helping them get it done with confidence!

This is an open invitation for any and all students. Students are welcome as they feel the need for a helping hand, and don’t have to stay the entire time. Have them click on this link on Thursday mornings, 8:30-9:05 to join. Mrs. Mohyla can’t wait to see you!

Tech Help & Supports

We know that as we move through Virtual Learning, technology issues arise. If you're having trouble with your FCPS laptop, here's a few things to try:

  1. Restart your computer! (We have found that this solves MANY of our problems - including those microphone, camera, and sound issues!)
  2. Visit this webpage to checkout some self-help guides!
  3. FCPS has launched a new Parent Technology Help Desk. The help desk can be reached at 833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS) and will be answered by staff members between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week.
  4. If you still cannot get your laptop working, students and/or parents can submit an IT support ticket to get help with district digital resources or your FCPS issued laptop.  Find the portal here.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding!
