When students return to in-person instruction, we will have an opening for a dining room hostess. This is a daily position with hours from approximately 10:45am-1:30pm. This person needs to have a lot of patience, great rapport with children, be flexible and work in the cafeteria with a fair amount of noise/talking in the background. Dear Artists and Families!
I have some exciting news for art! We will be working with modeling clay or Play-doh the first week or two in February!! Students were provided modeling clay in their art supply bag at the beginning of the year. If they no longer can find their modeling clay, Play-doh works great too!
We will be creating characters from the clay so make sure your artist is prepared with modeling clay or Play-doh. They will also want to have a piece of paper to work on as a mat so the oils don’t get everywhere. A plastic bag or tight container to seal up their clay after is also important.
Artists will also be asked to share their work on Padlet. I will create virtual art galleries so I can see their work and other students can see their masterpieces too! If you have not signed the Technology consent form…they will not be able to share their work as an artist. Please consider signing the tech consent or emailing me to give them permission to use Padlet. Have a wonderful day!!
Artfully, Ms. Crabtree
Optional Virginia Early Childhood Family Survey
VDOE, UVA, and the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) want to learn about Virginia families’ experiences with the care and/or education for their young children (birth through kindergarten) this year. The Virginia Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDBB5) study wants to reach as many Virginia families as possible to better understand the experiences and challenges of families with young children in Virginia.
Parents of young children are invited to participate in this study by completing a voluntary and anonymous survey available at vafamilysurvey.info.
