Attention all STUDENT ARTISTS!!!
Draw, paint, or sketch a piece of art for the 2020-2021 Yearbook Cover Contest
The first-place winner will have their artwork featured on the front cover of the 2020-2021 yearbook!
- This contest is open to ALL current Columbia Elementary School students.
- It is required that the following text be creatively used somewhere within the artwork: “Columbia Elementary School” and “2020-2021” see the cover above for an example.
- This year’s theme is: Virtually Unstoppable! Please include this on the front cover!
- Artwork must be on 5” x 11” paper (copier or printer paper is acceptable, but cardstock is preferred) – all other sizes of artwork and lined notebook paper will not be considered for the yearbook contest.
- Markers, colored pencils, or crayons may be used!
- Artwork must be positioned in portrait format, not landscape format, to fit the yearbook cover.
- All artwork must be submitted by Friday, January 15th to Mr. Gildea (crgildea@fcps.edu) with the information below
- Parents may not assist their child in the creation of the piece.
- A student may submit multiple pieces of art.
4 runners-up will receive placement on the back of the yearbook.
Winners will be announced by the end of January!

- A clear photograph of the cover artwork (please take as high-quality photograph as possible!)
- Your child’s name
- Your child’s grade
- Your child’s teacher
- Your name (grownup)
