Scottie Tales for the week of Jan 25

A Note From Your Principal

Can you believe Quarter 3 starts tomorrow? It is crazy how time has flown since I came on in September. Lots of dialog is happening in regards to the potential return to in-person instruction in the next two weeks. Last week, Dr. Brabrand gave the School Board the latest version of the Return to School timeline which is below. I want you to be ready if the School Board approves the Superintendent's latest plan.

Grade levels Return Date
PAC, ECCB, EAC Feb 16
PreK, K, Spec. Ed (group4) Feb 23
Grades 1-2 March 9
Grades 3-6 March 16

With this proposed Return to School schedule, Bonnie Brae will begin operating with our new bell schedule (9-3:30) starting on Tuesday, February 16 for all students. If this schedule is approved, we will be sending out information to each family confirming the days of the week your student is coming to school, bus stop information, mask and health guidelines, and more specifics about the return to school schedule. If there are class changes that need to be made you will be contacted at this time updating you on the change. Once the school board approves the return to school timeline, I will host a Townhall for each group to give parents specific details about the student's return and allow for time to ask myself and the Administrators questions you and your family might have. Lots of information is coming. We ask that you continue to be patient. we will send out the information as soon as we can.

As always, we are going to come out stronger because of each other. Stay safe, take care of yourself and take care of each other.

Best,

Principal Skerker

We are looking for three to four members from the community to be part of the Design Committee. This Committee will meet regularly during the planning phases of the renovation providing input along the way. If you are interested, please complete the survey below.
