Academic Advisement Update

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and winter break. It's time to start planning and preparing for next year. This is an important time for students as they plan and choose classes that will affect the 21-22 school year.

Please review the information below carefully and remember to mark important dates on your calendar. We encourage you to have lots of conversations about next year and high school with your child. Counselors will be meeting individually with each and every student during Academic Advising.

Feel free to reach out with any questions! Our contact information is included at the bottom of this email.

We look forward to working with you and your child,

Ends January 18th!

The RCMS Book Fair raises money for the school. Last year the librarians purchased over 100 electronic books for students to access during the pandemic using funds raised through the Book Fair!  Thank you for your continued support!

Other Schools are Sharing....

From Westfield HS:  Westfield High School is gearing up to welcome the Class of 2025.  The annual Curriculum Night will take place on January 14, 2021 (link to follow in future broadcast). This is an opportunity for families to learn about course offerings (i.e. expected outcomes, typical workload, etc.) and meet some of the Westfield teachers. Take the time to explore our many course offerings and help your student make course selections that promote their intellectual growth and balance. The Westfield High School student services team will be meeting with rising 9th graders from Carson Middle School on January 8, 2021 via Blackboard Collaborate. The student services team will share with students’ graduation requirements, courses available to 9th graders and information on how to make course selections in SIS Student Vue.  Go bulldogs!
