Even in the midst of our pandemic, it's a wondering time of the year.  We hope everyone gets the much needed "break" and the chance to relax and reset for the coming new year.  From all the staff at White Oaks, we want to say a heart felt thank you for your ongoing support.  We wish you a joyful holiday season and a happy new year!

Jan. 4th will be an asynchronous day

Students will meet virtually only for Morning Meeting and asynchronous work will be provided by the teacher.

New Bell Schedule starting Jan. 12th

The new bell schedule for White Oaks ES will be 9:45-4:15 starting on January 12, 2021. We will be working on our master schedule to make any necessary adjustments while minimizing major disruptions. More information will be forthcoming.

Outstanding Teacher Awards

Thank you to all our families who submitted nominations for the White Oaks Outstanding Employee Awards. We are pleased to announce the following nominees:

Outstanding Teacher Award

David DePalma, Kindergarten Teacher

Greg Nussbaum, Sixth Grade AAP Teacher

Stella Photiou, Fifth Grade Teacher

Outstanding New Teacher Award

Bethani Ko, Art Teacher

This week our Awards Committee reviewed all of the nominee submissions. It was a challenge to select only one teacher from our three wonderful teacher nominees to sent forward to the Lake Braddock Pyramid level! After a tough deliberation, the teachers for each category to move forward are:

Outstanding Teacher Award

Greg Nussbaum, Sixth Grade AAP Teacher

Outstanding New Teacher Award

Bethani Ko, Art Teacher

Please join us in congratulating Mr. DePalma and Ms. Photiou for being nominated and also wishing Mr. Nussbaum and Ms. Ko good luck as their nominations move forward to the Lake Braddock Pyramid Awards!
