Hello Lees Corner Families!!
On Friday, December 18th we will have a Virtual Holiday Sing-A-Long. The times are as follows:
9:10 a.m. Grades 3-6
10:10 a.m. Grades K-2
Curbside pickup will take place Monday, 12/14 from 11 AM to 2 PM.
If you are not able to pick up your books on Monday, be sure to get them from the front office on Tuesday.
Students are invited to place up to 5 books on hold EACH week. Please remember to RETURN your books as soon as you are finished enjoying them so others can too (Bring them to curbside or place them on the Library Book Return cart, located under the porch at the main entrance during normal school hours). 😊
Please see the curbside information sheet HERE for all the details about how to reserve (hold) books and how you will know if your books are ready for pick up.
Library books may be borrowed for 3 weeks. They can be returned to the “Library Book Return Cart” located under the porch at Entrance 1 anytime during school hours, M-F, 8:30-4:00.

The Yearbook Committee is looking for your help!! This year we would like to give you a chance to “Design the Cover” for the yearbook. Your design should be based on our school theme “One Lees Corner Family #StrongerTogether.” As you capture the many activities that occur at Lees Corner and at home for virtual learning, you must include the name of the school and year as part of your design.

Betty Nolan, our amazing registrar, will be retiring at the end of December. Betty has worked for 20 years in FCPS, 15 of those here at Lees Corner. She is retiring to Smithfield Va., with her husband Chris and their dog Toby. Betty has touched many people’s lives while at Lees Corner and will be greatly missed!
- Friday, 12/18 -- Bus routes will offer 4 days of breakfast and lunch Grab & Go locations will offer 4 days of breakfast and lunch
- Monday, 12/21 -- Bus routes will offer 4 days of breakfast and lunch Grab & Go locations will not distribute any meals
- Tuesday, 12/22 -- Bus routes will offer 4 days of breakfast and lunch Grab & Go locations will offer 14-day meal kits. Meal Kits sites will offer 14-day meal kits
- Wednesday, 12/23 through Friday, 1/1/21 -- No food service
- Monday, 1/4/2021 -- Bus routes delivering breakfast and lunch will resume daily service
- Tuesday, 1/5/2021 -- Grab & Go locations resume daily meal distribution
We love seeing students and families when they drop by to pick up a meal or something from the teachers! Please remember that adults and children should be wearing masks on school property.
LCES has 2 buses that come to school every day. Please do not use the bus loop between 8:25-8:50 a.m. and 3:20-3:45 p.m.
If you are in the bus loop and a bus is there loading students, please do not drive past the bus.
This year, schools will be closed for Winter Break from Monday, December 21st through Friday, January 1st.
School will resume on Monday, January 4th.
School will be closed on Monday, January 18th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. School will also be closed on Monday, January 25th for a Teacher Workday.
School will also be closed on Wednesday, January 20th for Inauguration Day.
