Franklin Families and Students,
Good afternoon! I am excited to send you this message because we have some good news to share. Earlier this week, we were able to celebrate two members of the Franklin staff as part of the Outstanding Employee Awards program.
Please help me in congratulating these two amazing educators for all of their contributions to their colleagues, the community, and most importantly, to their students. After being recognized at the school level, they will now go on to be considered with other nominees from the Chantilly pyramid. Congratulations to Ms. Rhoden and Ms. Cacner!

Our Superintendent shared several updates last night with the School Board about the Return to School plan and the presentation that was shared can be found here. Additional information will be shared division-wide early next week. FMS will also be scheduling parent and family information sessions after the Winter Break
The weather this weekend looks like it will be beautiful and I hope all of you have an opportunity to relax and recharge. Thank you for all that you continue to do to support your student’s success at Franklin MS.

Lifetouch Proofs and Picture Packets Available for Pickup
Students who were photographed in November have Lifetouch proofs and picture packets available in the office for pickup. Please ring the doorbell at Door 1 between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM to pick up your packet. Please note that the office will be closed the week of December 21 - 25 and on December 31 - January 1. Parents and families may contact the Lifetouch Customer Care Center with any questions at:1-800-736-4753.
Franklin MS After School Program
After-School reminders:
- After-School Programs are open for enrollment at any time unless the programs are full. Check out some of the new clubs we have recently added – Car Club, Aerospace Engineering, Origami, Spin Bike, Rocket League, SAGA Club, and Cricket club. As the weather gets colder and students are indoors more, we hope they try joining or rejoining some of the clubs they have always loved – Basketball Academy, Travel Club, Famous Battlegrounds, Art Club, Knitting, and Creative writing.
- Students can find more information about the After-School Program in their grade-level Google Classroom and on the student After-School site.
- Students can join after-school clubs and activities throughout the year. Please take advantage of our free after-school program!

Franklin MS Office Hours During Winter Break
Our school office will be closed the week of December 21-25, and will reopen at 7:00 AM on Monday, December 28.
The office will be open December 28 - 30 from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
We will be closed December 31 - January 1, and will reopen at 7:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2021.
