Earlier this year FCPS implemented a new bell schedule for the 2020-2021 school year.  However, this was postponed once the start of school became virtual.  When implemented, Oak Hill's new bell schedule will be from 10:05am to 4:50pm.  While we do not have the exact information regarding when this updated bell schedule will go into effect, we want to inform families of this information for their planning purposes.   

At the Fairfax County School Board's work session scheduled for tonight at 6 pm, Dr. Brabrand will provide an update on his plans for future groups of students and staff to return to in-person instruction. Watch the meeting on FCPS' website or on FCPS Cable TV Channel 99 (Verizon Channel 11).

Hanukkah, which means “dedication” in Hebrew, begins this evening and ends on Friday, December 18th.  Hanukkah commemorates the re-dedication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem after a small group called the Maccabees defeated the Greek Syrian army.  Often called the Festival of Lights, the holiday is celebrated with the lighting of the menorah, traditional foods, games and gifts.  Happy Hanukkah!
