REMINDER: Giving Thanks through a Gift Card Drive: We are going to be collecting gift cards from now until Monday, December 14th for students and staff that may need assistance through the holiday time. You can drop them off with Anne, email them as a link to Anne, or mail them to the school (6703 Barnack Dr., Springfield, VA 22152). Also, if your family needs support during this time, please email me privately at mboland@fcps.edu.
PE Jump ropes: Does your child want a jump rope to continue to stay active during virtual learning? Come on Monday, December 7th from 12:15-1:15 to the bus loop to pick one up. If you have questions, contact Mr. Simmons at gwsimmons@fcps.edu or Gabe Gawen at gtgawen@fcps.edu.
Library News: The Rolling Valley Library is still open for returns and curbside pickup of books! Pick up times are on Monday 12:00-4:00 and Thursday 4:00-5:30. Students will need to log in to the library catalog to put books on hold (K and 1 students may use this Google Form if you would rather) and then you will need to sign up for a pick up time on this Sign Up Genius. You can access eBooks, digital graphic novels, and other resources immediately via the library catalog. YOU CAN NOW RETURN BOOKS 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK WITH OUR PERMANENT RETURN BIN BY THE FRONT DOORS OF ROLLING VALLEY! Thank you for supporting our library during the recent Book Fair.
Teacher Gifts: I've gotten a few questions about teacher gift drop off at the school. If you have a gift for a teacher, you can drop it off any day from 9:00-4:00. If you need a different time, please contact Anne Walker at amwalker@fcps.edu.
