The following GBE staff members were nominated for FCPS Excellence Awards by the GBE community (teachers, families, and students).
Community Support for Our Nominees is still welcomed as our 6 nominees move forward to the Chantilly Pyramid Level of competition!
Parents, if you would like to submit a 1-2 paragraph letter in support of any of our nominees, you have two options. You can use this google form or you can email Jeni Maenner at jlmaenner@fcps.edu.

Outstanding Teacher: Teachers who instill in students the desire to learn and achieve. Understand the individual needs of students, encourage their talents and foster their self-esteem. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of subject matter and the ability to share it effectively with students. Foster cooperative relationships and engage with their colleagues and the community. Demonstrate outstanding leadership.

Outstanding NEW Teacher: Nominee must be within the first 3 years of their teaching career. Teachers who instill in students the desire to learn and achieve.
