Deadline Tomorrow (Dec.1) for Advanced Academics Program (Level IV)

The  AAP Level IV referral deadline is December 1^st. To initiate the screening process for students currently in grades 2-6, you will need to submit a Level IV referral form to Sara Balcanoff at sebalcanoff@fcps.edu by the deadline. No exceptions can be made to this deadline. Level IV referral forms can be found at: https://www.fcps.edu/sites/default/files/media/forms/AAPLevelIVReferralForm_1.pdf.

The NNAT Pool benchmark has not been determined. . Parents should submit a referral form by the deadline  if you want to be sure that your student is screened for Level IV services. We are suggesting that you do not wait for the announcement of the second grade pool if you want to be sure your student is screened for Level IV AAP in the coming cycle.

In addition to the Level IV referral form, you have the option to submit:

• A Parent/Guardian Questionnaire (https://www.fcps.edu/sites/default/files/media/forms/AAPParentGuardianQuestionnaire_3.pdf)
• Up to 4 single-sided pages of work samples completed outside of school that show a need for full-time AAP services. Work samples should support critical and creative thinking skills.
• Ability testing completed outside of FCPS
