The Referral Window for Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) Level IV Screening Consideration Ends Tomorrow, December 1st
Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 1st, is the close of the window (Sept 8-Dec 1) for parents/guardians to submit a referral form for their student to be screened for full-time Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) Level IV. The referral form is one pathway to have a student screened for AAP Level IV. Parents should not wait for an announcement of the second grade screening pool if they want to make sure their student is screened for AAP Level IV in the coming cycle. To initiate the screening process for students currently in grades 2-6, you will need to submit a Level IV referral form to our AART, Robin McDougal RDMcDougal@fcps.edu by December 1. Referrals will not be accepted after December 1.
In addition to the Referral Form, you have the option to submit:
- A Parent/Guardian Questionnaire
- Up to 4 single-sided pages of work samples completed outside of school that show a need for full-time AAP services. Work samples should support critical and creative thinking skills
- Ability testing completed outside of FCPS
