Attendance Matters
Attendance drives everything! It is tied to almost every aspect of school performance and future outcomes. Please visit the Falls Church High School website attendance page for updated policies and procedures.
A note about Monday attendance:
Please remember that while there is no bell schedule on Mondays, attendance is still required. Students are responsible for logging in to their 4th period/Advisory teacher’s Google Classroom and completing the Google attendance form posted by the teacher between 8:10 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. in order to be marked present.
Good attendance will help your children do well in high school, college, and at work.
-
Set an example for your child. Show him or her that attendance matters to you and that you won’t allow an absence unless someone is truly sick. Avoid asking older students to help with daycare and household errands.
-
You can turn to the school for help. Many schools offer services for the whole family.
-
Seek help from the school or community if you are facing tough challenges related to access to health care, unstable housing, poor transportation, or lack of food. Schools and community agencies often work together to offer help for the whole family.
#WeAreThankfulFC Campaign
2020 has changed all of our lives in many ways, but amidst the chaos of the year, we can still recognize thankfulness. Today, we are inviting you to participate in our #WeAreThankfulFC campaign. Athletics unites us all in a common way - whether it's the student competing with his/her team, or coaches, parents, and friends watching and feeling the thrill of the competition.
Now, Jaguar supporters from near and far can make a donation to the FCHS Athletic Boosters program to show their gratitude for the Jaguar program. We ask that you give any amount you can using our Square Store.(https://fchs-jaguar-athletic-boosters-club.square.site/donate). We would also love for you to share this link on social media and email friends to help get the word out.
Your donation will go directly to all the athletic programs that FCHS offers. Specifically, these dollars will help pay for uniforms, fees, equipment, officials, scholarships, signs, trophies and more. While we are always thankful for donations to our program, we are especially thankful this year when we have precious few other opportunities to raise these much needed funds.
If you prefer to make a donation through the mail, we have included the address below:
FCHS Athletic Boosters
7521 Jaguar Trail

*Checks can be made out to FCHS Athletic Boosters.
If applicable, please ask your company to match your donation with a corporate gift. Corporate checks should be made payable to Falls Church High School Athletic Boosters and can be mailed to:
- Joe Mack, Treasurer, 3704 Camelot Drive Annandale, VA 22003.

From the FCHS Spotlight Theatre Company

Falls Church high School Spotlight Theatre Company is offering another performance for interested audience members! With illustrations from our talented artists and voices from the diverse actors representative of our Falls Church high School student body, you will hear a sweet story of a young Vietnamese girl who wants desperately for the spirit of her dead father to notice her. As he was a farmer, she decides to plant some seeds in a vacant lot in Cleveland, Ohio. Her one act prompts her neighbors to plant the seeds of community that transforms their junky lot into a garden of hopes and dreams in this spoken musical. This show is recommended for ages 12 and up due to some adult content. Ticket information will be posted on our website at www.fchsdrama.org and on all of our social media platforms before Thanksgiving break!
