We may not be able to Run, but we can still ROCK!
We want to include your kiddos' dance moves during our final Spirit Rally on Tuesday, December 1!! Please record short videos (10 seconds or less) of your student dancing and upload into the appropriate grade folder on this Google drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1VSOMadF9QHvfGHPpuq0eSnfWW0IInl9k. All videos are due by November 28.
Monday is Prize Distribution Day
Monday, 11/23 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm will be Distribution Day for grade-earned prize and t-shirts. Distribution will be the same set-up as other distribution days: Families should drive up as directed when entering the parking lot. Please place a sign in your front window with the following information: student(s) name(s), grade & t-shirt size. For safety, we ask that everyone remain in their cars. If you can't make Monday's distribution, your bag(s) may be picked up by another SLES family.
NOTE: We will not be able to accept walk-ups to the school for this distribution.
Prize Review
Let’s Talk Prizes! We’ve already hit the first 5 prize levels!!! The more money we raise, the bigger the prizes the PTA can offer, like $200 for each classroom to expand their libraries for when students are back in school and ask an expert session to be brought into each virtual classroom. The full list is below:
$500 Tattoos for all! (ALL STUDENTS HAVE EARNED)
$1000 T-shirts for the whole school! (ALL STUDENTS HAVE EARNED)
$5000 Desk Fairy Items (pencil, eraser, bookmark) (ALL STUDENTS HAVE EARNED)
$7500 Treat in a bag (7-11 slurpees) (ALL STUDENTS HAVE EARNED)
$10,000 Yoga break for your class (ALL STUDENTS HAVE EARNED)
$12,500 (PE Teachers) Ice bucket plunge during the Rock ‘n Fun
$15,000 Stress balls for the whole school
$17,500 Rainy Day Items (umbrellas at school that teachers can check-out for rainy day walks, socially distant rainy day packs)
$20,000 Class chooses a virtual theme day
$22,500 Principal Would You Rather (think about having Mr. Morris eat a cricket lollipop or suck on a lemon!) The students will get to choose!
$25,000 Magic show for your class during morning meeting
$27,500 Principal Would You Rather
$30,000 Reading dog joins your class time
$32,500 $200 for each classroom to build classroom library
$35,000 Principal Would You Rather
$37,000 Ask an Expert Session for your classroom - PTA will purchase a session with a zoon/reptile/animal trainer/ or some other experience for the classroom
$38,500 Principal Would You Rather
$40,000 Special Guest Appearance during the Rock ‘n Fun pep rally!
- For Every $2500 over $40,000, we add another Principal Would you Rather!
- For Every $1000 we raise, the PTA will draw a name of a student to win a special prize!
