The night before you come to Herndon High School:
- Verify your appointment time and date.

If you are unable to attend these sessions, there will be more information about how to submit a photo forthcoming
From the Library
- Herndon HS students have access to thousands of books in physical format and in ebook format. If students would like to check out physical books, they can log into their Destiny accounts with their FCPS credentials, and place up to five books on hold. They will receive a confirmation email from the library team when the books are available. We offer contact-free curbside services on Monday afternoons between 12:00 and 3:00. Pickup outside those hours can be arranged as needed. We’ll even meet you at other Herndon-area schools to deliver if getting to Herndon HS during school hours is not possible! If you have library books from last year from any FCPS school, they can be returned at the same time.
- Did you know your student can meet virtually with a member of the library team every school day? Our virtual office hours on BBCU allow students to connect with us from 8:00 – 11:00 on Mondays, and before school, during Stingers and lunch, and after school on other school days.

Class of 2024 - Class Council
The Class of 2024 is looking for 9th graders to join its class council. The class council is a group open to all Class of 2024 students. Members will develop leadership skills, make new friends, and be a part of HHS school activities and service. Interested students can fill out the form here.
We are looking for students who are interested in planning, working, and being a behind-the-scenes person at class and school activities throughout high school.
Class Council members will not hold a specific office, but instead be members of a class executive council. The executive council model follows a model of collaborative leadership in which students share the responsibility and leadership roles on the basis of the tasks to be completed.
Approximate Time Commitment:
- Fundraising (10-15 hours)
- Building Class Community (10 hours)
If you have any questions please reach out to Ms. Ferguson (mferguson@fcps.edu) or Ms. Wright (tmwright@fcps.edu)
