A Message from the PTA 

Snap! Raise Fundraiser 

  Hi parents and supporters!

As you are aware, the pandemic has presented challenges that we can only overcome if we face them together! As one effort to raise badly needed funds, we're kicking off a major Poplar Tree fundraiser with Snap! Raise this year!

Snap! Raise will be replacing the No Fuss Fundraiser. The reason for this change is that Snap! Raise is set up to allow families to invite others in their circles to donate. Rather than putting the responsibility squarely on the parents, this program allows us to cast a wider net and hopefully raise more money for the school! It is our hope that each student will have a major impact on our program.

Our goal is ­$30,000 and the funds raised will be used for Poplar Tree’s technology needs (laptops, software, etc.) and furnishings for the classrooms.

We are very excited to try out this new platform! Here is how it works:

STEP 1: We ask that you help your student/s identify people they will reach out to via Snap! Raise, and gather those email addresses so that they can pre-load them onto their accounts. The goal is for each student to reach out to 20 people, though they are encouraged to exceed that if they can! This is a very secure fundraiser that has privacy laws and practices put in place to make it extremely safe and easy to use.

The list of 20 people should include many of your child’s biggest fans and needs to be completed in full to ensure our campaign is set up for success. Please avoid using emails of teachers, peers of your student, or strangers.

STEP 2: Create your profile and add your child/children on Snap! Raise via this link: http://www.snap-raise.com/join_code/693982365 and load the list of contacts. Snap! Raise takes over from there and sends emails to your contacts, inviting them to donate to your child’s campaign.

  • If you have more than one student at Poplar Tree, you have the option of creating a profile for each of them (a separate email address is required for each profile), or you can just create one and have them share it by adding all of their names.
  • Be sure to personalize your page by adding a picture!
