PTSA Meeting
The next virtual PTSA meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 17 at 7:00pm. A link will be sent the morning of the meeting. A guest speaker will provide information on "Understanding and Enhancing Children's Self Esteem," focusing on the teen population. We hope you can join us!
Senior Drive Through Event - Monday, November 16.
Come to Centreville High School on Monday 11/16, from 1:30-3:30 for a senior only drive through event! Lunch from Chick-Fil-A and “boo bags” will be provided, but you must fill out the SignUp Genius in advance (links below) by Friday, midnight. In addition to lunch, students will be able to sign their name on the class banner, have their picture taken by the rock, and purchase merchandise for $5. Please bring cash and checks will be accepted, made out to Centreville HS, memo line: Class of 2021. Parent and faculty volunteers will be needed (link below).”
Masks are mandatory.

SGA Food Drive on Sat., 11/21 from 9-12
SGA is planning a food drive on Saturday, 11/21 from 9 to 12 in the school’s bus loop. The food will be donated to the Food for Others.
Yearbook and Senior Sales Ad
Document this historic year with a 2020-2021 Yearbook!
Yearbooks are now for sale for the lowest price of the year at $65. The price will go up to $75 on January 1st. Yearbooks can be purchased online at yearbookforever.com - just search for Centreville High School in Virginia.
Attention Senior Families: In the final section of the yearbook, CVHS has a tradition of offering families the chance to send a special message to their graduating senior. In this section of the book, we print "Senior Ads" as a way of helping celebrate the accomplishments of your senior and congratulate them!
Senior Ads can be created and purchased at yearbookforever.com as well - just search for Centreville High School in Virginia and click " Create a Senior Ad." On the website, you can select your size, upload photos, add a message, and design your Senior Ad all on the easy-to-use website. Senior ads must be purchased by January 1st.

Senior Pictures
Lifetouch will be returning to Centreville High School for the next senior portrait sessions on November 16, 17, 18 and 19. Seniors who were not able to secure an appointment for the first set of dates will automatically be notified by mail and email for this next set of dates and will be instructed again to go to prestigeportraits.com to confirm an appointment time. Every senior will have an opportunity to be photographed in time to appear in the yearbook.
Information and sign up for underclass pictures will be sent soon.
Report Cards - Go Paperless via Parent Vue
Parents/Guardians may opt to “Go Paperless” for report cards! Opt in to receive “Paperless” Report Cards (that can be printed through ParentVUE) by following the instructions below:
Parents/Guardians can take advantage of the paperless option, by logging into ParentVUE, then going to “My Account” and selecting "Go Paperless!". This is the only way to keep a paper report card from being generated for students at the secondary level. All parents who share the same address as the student must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option. If you do not have a ParentVUE account, please contact Eileen McGarry.@ esmcgarry@fcps.edu.
FCPS Nominations for CVHS Outstanding Staff
Nominations are now open for the FCPS Outstanding Employee Awards! To submit a nomination for a Centreville High School Outstanding Employee in one of the categories below, please complete the nomination through the Google Form links in blue. You may nominate an employee in one or more categories. All that is required for a preliminary nomination is a paragraph or two about how this employee demonstrates exceptional work in the criteria for that category. The Google Form link has more information regarding the criteria for each of these awards.
Outstanding Teacher
Eligibility: Has at least three years of experience as a teacher (in any school/school district); librarians are included in this category
Outstanding New Teacher
Eligibility: Within their first three years of being a teacher (in any school/school district); librarians are included in this category
Outstanding Leader
Common positions in this category: Assistant and Associate Principals, Director of Student Activities, Director of Student Services
Outstanding Professional Employee
Common positions in this category: School-Based Technology Specialist, Technology Support Specialist, Assessment Coach, Career Center Specialist, Instructional Coach, Psychologist, Social Worker, School Counselor, Safety and Security Specialist, Resource Teachers that serve in an administrative role in a school
Outstanding Operational Employee
Common positions in this category: Administrative and Office Staff, Safety and Security Assistant, Custodial Staff, Food Service Staff, IA, PHA, PHTA, All Parent Liaisons (regardless of how they are paid)
