Principals' Message

Happy Friday CES Community,

We continue to prepare and are excited to welcome some of our Kindergarten and Head Start students back into the building for in-person learning on Tuesday, November 17th. Last night at the FCPS School Board Meeting, Dr. Brabrand shared that Cohorts 5 (1st and 2nd Grade) and 6 (3rd - 6th Grades) have been pushed back one week. Below is a chart listing the new start dates along with the new asynchronous planning days.

As we prepare for more students to enter the building, please understand that your student/s may need to switch classroom teachers to meet the requests for in-person or virtual instruction. We ask for your flexibility, support, and grace as we progress through these next few months of phasing students back into the building. You will be notified in advance if your student will be switching teachers. If you are planning on sending your student/s back to the building please review the Family Guide and short video below.

Have a POSITIVE Weekend!

Fall Portraits are Here!

If your student had pictures taken at CES on October 26th, 27th, or 28th – We have received the photos and proofs (even if you did not order, Lifetouch gives you a proof to look at so you can order later). Please stop by the office sometime between 8am-5pm Monday through Friday to pick them up.

If you missed Picture Days, we are trying to schedule a Make Up Day, so be on the lookout for that information to be sent out soon.

If you have any questions, please call Angie Venetsanos or Cindy Luck at 703-502-3500.

Flat Screen TVs

Thank you for everyone who has already donated a TV to CES! Your support and generosity is very much appreciated.

We are still looking for unused 32 inch or larger flat screen TV (preferably on a stand) that you plan on getting rid of, CES could use them as we start to bring students back into the classroom for concurrent learning. Please contact Mr. Douds at jtdouds@fcps.edu if you have a tv to donate or any questions.
