Calendar Reminders for Upcoming Mondays

As we phase groups of students back into the building, Mondays will transition to asynchronous starting two weeks prior to the return of each group as outlined below. This change will support teacher preparation for the transition and continued instructional planning.

Important Updates for 1st Quarter

Updated Emergency Care Information and Health Information Needed

At the beginning of each school year we ask parents to review the information on their child(ren)’s Emergency Care Information form.  We also are required to have a Health Information Form completed each year.  Usually these forms would be available in Back-to-School folders.  This year we have sent them to you by postal mail and provided a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope for your convenience in returning the forms to us.  Please review the information, make any changes (if needed), sign and date the forms and return them to us.

You may also update your child’s Emergency Care Information form using your SiS Parent Account.

Please contact Sarah Fuller if you have any questions – 703-503-3703 or slfuller@fcps.edu.

Paperless Progress Reports

With the approaching end of the 1st quarter, parents have the option to “Go Paperless” which will allow parents to receive online progress reports/report cards. To take advantage of the paperless options, parents and/or guardians will need to log into ParentVUE, then go to “My Account” and select "Go Paperless." All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports. The “Go Paperless” option will apply to all their associated students, no matter what school level. If the associated parent and/or guardian has already selected “Go Paperless” for their secondary student, the option will now apply to any ES siblings as well.

If you have not already activated your ParentVUE SIS Account, please contact Sarah Fuller at slfuller@fcps.edu.

5th & 6th Grade Students

Band/Strings Marks OR Music Marks

5th and 6th grade students have elected General Music or  Band/Strings.  Therefore, 5th and 6th grade students taking Band or Strings will only have marks for Band or Strings on the Progress Report.  They will not have marks for General Music.
