A Note from Administration
Dear Parents,
Thanks for you for all of your support and input this past week as we released information regarding the upcoming return to school. We have collected your input. We will be reaching out collectively to each grade level to update any changes and at times we may also reach out individually to ensure the best instructional path for your child. There have been some changes with our teachers’ ability to work in person so we will ensure that we communicate with you all so that you know and understand what to expect.
As we end the quarter, teachers have worked hard to support the students and will be sharing areas of strengths and some areas of growth. That said, we have had a great virtual start to the school year. Truthfully, it does feel like we are continuing to strengthen in this area. Regardless, of your parental decision of intent, we want to ensure that all students continue to have the opportunity to grow academically and are receiving positive feedback socially and emotionally.
The links to the slide deck and to the recording are included below. We look forward to the second quarter and continuing to support the students. We will be remitting updates regarding the return to school!
Warmly,
Holly McGuigan, Principal

ParentVue - Go Paperless!!
This year more than ever, SIS ParentVUE (PVUE) is an essential tool for parents/guardians to keep up with their student’s attendance, progress report cards, and more. This will be the first quarter that FCPS has offered a PDF version of the progress report and ES parents/guardians now have the option to “Go Paperless” for all report cards and progress reports.
If you have not yet created a PVUE account, we encourage you to do so by reaching out to the our school SIA, Tracy Dean, tadean@fcps.edu to provide an activation code. Details on what can be found in PVUE and how to activate a new PVUE account using your activation code can be found here - Student Information System - SIS Parent Account Overview
