Monday: Final Art Supply Distribution

If you have not yet picked up your student's art supply bag, there will be a final opportunity to do so on Monday. Distribution will take place in the front loop of Clermont from 3-5 pm on Monday, November 2nd.

Each bag contains a sketchbook, construction paper, and modeling clay. The bags for Kindergarten and 1st grade also contain additional instructional materials, and the 1st and 2nd grade bags include school planners.

For questions, please contact Ms. Lee at ylee4@fcps.edu.

Procedure:

  • To expedite the process, please write your child(ren)'s name and grade level in large letters on a sign and display on the front or side window of your car.
  • Enter the front loop of Clermont (Bus Loop).
  • Please remain in your vehicle.
  • A Clermont staff member will bring your child’s bag to your car.

If you have any Clermont library books to return, you may give them to a staff member during distribution.

Clermont Library Offering Curbside Checkout

The Clermont library is excited to offer curbside checkout!  Our first checkout will be on November 9th from 11:30 am - 4:30 pm.

How do I pick out books? Students can hold books by logging in to their Destiny Discover accounts and placing holds on books they want to borrow by noon on Friday, November 8th. Students may place a hold on up to 5 books at a time. For directions on how to put books on hold, watch this video: https://youtu.be/nmnLJzeio-A

Important: Once holds are placed please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/w3S7ekMNgadokwTNA

Alternatively, students can also request the librarian provide books based on their interests when filling out the form above.

Holds placed without the form will not be fulfilled. A confirmation email will be sent to both parent and/or students in grades 3-6 once books are ready for pick up. If you do not receive this email please contact Mrs. Cangro at kncangro@fcps.edu

When can I get my books? Book pickup will be in the kiss and ride loop on November 9th from 11:30-4:30PM. You will need to provide the student’s name, and homeroom teacher.

What if my book isn't available? Please understand that depending on the number of holds on a book or when it was returned, all of your books may not be ready. You will receive an email to your student Gmail account or parent email when your holds are ready. Some books are very popular, so if you are requesting more than 2 books in any series or graphic novel genre, your request may not be fulfilled. Additionally, the county is requiring all books have a mandatory holding quarantine period after they are returned, which can also impact when books are ready to be checked out to the next reader.

How do I return my books? What if I still have library books at home? We are accepting library books during curbside checkout. Books may also be dropped off to Clermont between 9 am and 3 pm Monday-Friday - there will be a Library Book Return Cart in the lobby during these times.

We appreciate your patience as we figure out this process and make changes as needed.

Questions? Please email our librarian, Mrs. Cangro, at kncangro@fcps.edu

Wow! What we’ve accomplished in virtual PE! Students have figured out how to move safely in personal space, demonstrate following rules, routines and expectations, and work cooperatively over the last three units. Moving into the second quarter, we will be exploring Healthy Mind and Healthy Body units. We hope you’ve enjoyed some fun learning activities utilizing the PE Choice Boards found in Monday Folders. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Counselors Corner

A smiling heart says, "Your Counselor Cares About You!"

During our classroom lessons this month, we focused on self-awareness and making connections.

We will continue to explore these themes in greater depth during November. Please ask your child to share with you what they are learning about themselves and others in these lessons so that they may apply their knowledge in the home setting and beyond.

We wish you a peaceful, screen-free, 4-day weekend!

Fondly,

Mrs. Manzo and Mrs. Treger

Go Paperless” Progress Report (Report Card) Option Now Available

The “Go Paperless” option is now available to all elementary parents to allow you to receive online progress reports starting the first quarter of SY 20/21. This will not impact any other mailings from FCPS other than the progress reports for elementary students and report cards for secondary students. To take advantage of the paperless option, please log into ParentVUE, then go to “My Account” and select "Go Paperless." (All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports.)

Technology Resources

FCPS has developed multiple resources that can help with basic technology issues to support learning at home.
