 Welcome Back, Falcons!
We welcomed back our first learners this week! Small cohorts of students in two of our preschool programs began in-person instruction following health and safety guidelines and social distancing measures. We have had a successful and safe three days of school and are incredibly proud of our students and staff.
Seeing the bus pull up for the first time since March and hearing laughter in our hallways again has been a joy! We continue to keep health and safety a priority as we support the academic needs of our students.
Fall Spirit Days
Students and staff have been working so hard, and it’s hard to believe we are wrapping up the first quarter! Let’s celebrate with two Fall Spirit Weeks! See details below.
End of Quarter 1: Two-Hour Early Release
Friday, October 30 is the end of the first quarter and a two-hour early release day. Virtual instruction will end at 1:35 p.m.
Elementary School Progress Reports will be mailed to your home and will be available via SIS ParentVue on November 7.
November Student Holidays & Conference Days
There is no school on November 2 and 3. Students will not have online instruction or asynchronous assignments; teachers will be hosting virtual parent-teacher conferences. Information regarding conferences is being provided by classroom teachers. We are looking forward to reflecting on the first quarter with you!
Go Paperless
Parents of elementary school students can now opt to "Go Paperless" to receive progress reports online only. This feature also exists for middle and high school students. This will not impact any other mailings from FCPS other than the progress reports for ES students.
After logging into your SIS ParentVue account, click on "My Account," and check the "Go Paperless" option.
Please Note: All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports.
The “Go Paperless” option will apply to all their associated students, no matter what school level. If the associated parent and/or guardian has already selected “Go Paperless” for their secondary student, the option will now apply to any ES siblings as well.
