PTSA News and Updates
School of Excellence Survey
Dear OHS Families, Administrators and Teachers:
The Oakton High School PTSA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school.
That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.
We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end.
Your feedback will help us improve our family-school partnership and achieve excellence. We will post updates on our website at oaktonhsptsa.org and you do not have to be a member to participate.
Does this sound like something you’d like to help with? Join our SOE planning committee by contacting president@oaktonhsptsa.org
At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel Oakton HS and Oakton HS PTSA can achieve that together—and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together at Oakton.
This survey is completely anonymous. Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at Oakton High School and complete the survey below. Please complete the survey below by Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
Please click here to take the survey
Sincerely,
Monique Roberts-Rabil, OHS PTSA President
Jamie Lane, Oakton High School Principal

CONTRIBUTE TO OHS BAND’S VIRTUAL TAG DAY
OHSTAGDAY.ORG
KNOCK KNOCK! This year, even though our performances are on hold, our band will march on! In place of our regular door to door donation collections, Oakton Band is holding a Virtual Tag Day, taking donations online and by mail through October. If you have already donated, thank you!
We understand that many families in our community have been deeply changed by current events and cannot support us with the generosity of years’ past. However, if you are able to give, the band needs your support more than ever this year. This year, band students are fundraising toward instruments, equipment, repairs, specialized instructors, student leadership training and band community events.
Go to: OHSTAGDAY.ORG to support the Band Boosters. Or mail a check payable and to the attention of: BBOHS at 2900 Sutton Road, Vienna 22181
