Great Family Activities

Wide-Open School is a learning hub for families and teachers. They have collected resources to help make distance learning fun and engaging. 

Each day Wide-Open school provides a variety of activities you can do. For example, for Wednesday, October 21, the grade K-2 activities are

  • Learn how to make an origami box
  • Listen to Oprah Winfrey read "The Hula-Hoopin' Queen."
  • Follow the Digital Trail about #DigCit
  • Take a screen break and make masks.
  • Make a Doodler
  • Learn about Nutrition
  • Learn about garbage and recycling.

They have different activities for:

  • Pre-school
  • K-2
  • 3-5
  • 6-8
  • 9-12.
