MHS Parent Meetings

  • PTSA General Member Meeting, October 21st, at 7:00 pm. 
  • Junior Parents University, November 6th, 12:00pm, topic: Testing 101.
  • Fall College Planning Night, November 11th, 6:30pm. For students and parents of all grades –stay tuned for details!

Don’t Miss the Freshman Parent Hour Tonight at 7:00 pm

Join Principal Dr. Ellen Reilly and the PTSA for our General Meeting. Following the meeting, the PTSA will host the Freshman Parent Hour with Assistant Principal and Class Freshman Administrator, Monica Charles-Williams, as well as the school clinical team. You will also have an opportunity to meet the school counselors. Both parents and students are welcome.

McLean Walk

MHS Parent Connection Walks

A new opportunity to meet and walk with parents in our MHS community!

McLean High School parents are invited to take a stroll around the MHS track and connect with other parents. All are very welcme!

When:  Sunday, November 1st, 4:00 - 5:00 pm (move to an earlier hour due                                                                                  to the time change that day) 

             Wednesday, November 4th, 1:45 - 2:45 pm (date change due to                                                                                               Election Day)

Where:  McLean High School Track, Masks Required

Hosted by the PTSA Health and Wellness Committee


Fall Pumpkin Creation Contest for Students

Sources of Strength and PTSA Health & Wellness Committee are proud to sponsor a Pumpkin Creation Contest!  

Submissions are by grade level and due by October 31st. For more information consult this flyer.

Children's Winter Clothing Drive

Our local community partner, SHARE, has asked for our assistance in obtaining the following high need items for children of all ages:  

  • Winter Coats
  • Boots and Sneakers
  • Hats and Mittens

New or almost new items are appreciated, as SHARE does not have the resources to sort clothing and shoes.

All donations can be brought to the following locations:

  •  The Collection Box outside McLean HS's Main Entrance
  •  SHARE at McLean Baptist Church
          1367 Chain Bridge Road, McLean
          In person on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:00pm
  • If neither of these options work, please contact                                           Sherri.share@outlook.com to arrange an alternate drop-off time.

Serve our Highlander community before stepping into the role of President. Share your valuable insights and contributions and shape the following year, while allowing time to learn on the job.

eNews Team Member

Responsible for sending weekly PTSA e-newsletter. Share relevant information, promote events and enhance parent engagement. Proof-reading skills are a plus.
