Progress Report "Go Paperless” Option Now Available

Please help save trees and postage costs by opting in to receive “Paperless” Report Cards

  • Parents and/or guardians will need to log into ParentVUE, then go to “My Account” and select "Go Paperless."
  • All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports.
  • The “Go Paperless” option will apply to all their associated students, no matter what school level.
  • If the associated parent and/or guardian has already selected “Go Paperless” for their secondary student, the option will now apply to any ES siblings as well.
  • Please note that you can  print the Progress Report from ParentVUE if you want.

change of plans

Books on Buses!

We are changing our Books on Buses delivery and return schedule. The week of October 19th will be the last week we have separate return and delivery days. Monday, October 19th will be the last Monday return books date. Starting Tuesday, October 27th, returns and pickup will be on the same day, Tuesdays!

You can go online, to our library catalog, and request a book. We will try our very best to get you the one you requested but due to high demand for certain books, and the need to quarantine returned books for 7 days, Mrs. Beaumont may have to choose a different book for you. Either way, we are sure you will enjoy reading about new adventures!

Little Run Town Hall

To continue the conversation from our Woodson Pyramid Town Hall, we will be hosting a Virtual Listening Forum around Equity on Monday, October 19th from 6-7pm via Blackboard Collaborate Ultra to hear directly from our families. Please use this link to participate.

The purpose of this time together is to provide a safe space and platform for our community members to share openly and candidly about the strengths and needs of our community as we continue to work to create a welcoming environment that is supportive of all students and families. We are committed to continuing to grow our partnership with you to address the needs and concerns of our students and families. We look forward to this opportunity to listen, learn, and hear from one another.

If you or your family would like an interpreter, please reach out to Aida Joranko ( ajoranko@fcps.edu) by October 9th.

Next Week is Digital Citizenship/Spirit Week! Students will be talking about how to be safe, kind, and smart online. With so much of our day being spent online, it is important to have conversations at home about acceptable use and rules to follow. Use the documents below to help support those conversations. Little Run PTA 2020 Reader Challenge & Fundraiser

Did you know that November is Family Literacy Month?  The PTA is celebrating by challenging every student to read 20 minutes a day for 20 days (November 4-23).  They are also challenging every reader to raise $50 in pledges to help fund important school programs, such as:  Food-4-thought, teacher supplies, library books, teacher appreciation, and virtual events/shows for LRES families (such as the Magic Show in September).  The PTA will be sending out a link to sign up the last week of October.  With a few simple clicks students can join their class team, log minutes, and share a donation page with friends and family.
