Reminder: ParentVUE Accounts

This year more than ever, SIS ParentVUE (PVUE) is an essential tool for parents/guardians to keep up with their student’s attendance, progress report cards, and more. This will be the first quarter that we have offered a PDF version of the progress report and ES parents/guardians now have the option to “Go Paperless” for all report cards and progress reports. We want to start establishing the PVUE habit early with ES school parents/guardians.

Please access PVUE periodically to check in on your student(s)’ attendance and to view progress reports at the end of each quarter.  If you have not yet created a PVUE account, please reach out to the school SIA to provide an activation code. Details on what can be found in PVUE and how to activate a new PVUE account using their activation code can be found here - Student Information System - SIS Parent Account Overview

Digital Citizenship Week

Digital Citizenship Week is October 19-23. Being a digital citizen is all about taking ownership of our actions and using technology responsibly and respectfully. During Digital Citizenship Week, our goal is to teach kids how to learn, create, and participate responsibly in the digital world.

The Digital Citizenship Topics for each day are:

Monday: Media Balance & Well-Being - How can I create media balance in my life?

Tuesday: Privacy & Security How can I keep my private information safe?

Wednesday: Digital Footprint & IdentityHow can I build a digital footprint I am proud of?

Thursday: Relationships & Communication - How can I communicate kindly, build relationships, and stand up to hate?

Friday: News & Media Literacy - How can I think critically about the things I see, create, and share?

As a family, are you engaging in safe and responsible tech use? Want more resources to empower you to help your kids to be strong digital citizens? Check out the student activities, interactives, and videos from Wide Open School.

Forms

Please look for the following FCPS forms that we will need for all students.  Please complete these forms electronically.

Health Information and Emergency Care Forms

The Health Information Form and the Emergency Care Information form  provide valuable information regarding student health conditions. These forms are critical in the early identification of students who may need healthcare support in the educational environment. Along with the development of Healthcare Plans and Action Plans, the Public Health Nurses utilize the information contained to develop teaching strategies for FCPS staff in order to meet the requirements of Regulation 2104 Health Services-School Health Related Needs.

As the school year begins virtually, it is important to remember these forms are required for all students for SY 20-21 and are available for electronic submission by parents via their FCPS 24/7 (Blackboard) accounts within the weCare@school (weCare) module
