Show your Mustang Pride with FES spirit wear! The Franconia Elementary PTA is happy to offer a short-sleeved t-shirt and a hoodie sweatshirt in youth and adult sizes.
The sale is active now through Tuesday, October 13, with orders arriving in late October for drive through pick-up at Franconia (orders can be shipped directly for an additional fee).
Be aware, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the PTA will not be able to sell additional merchandise after October 13 and all orders must be placed through the Custom Ink fundraising website.

Yearbook Cover Design Contest
Entries Due by 10/30
All Franconia students are invited to participate in this year's yearbook cover design contest.
For an introduction to the contest, here's a video to watch - https://youtu.be/mswLNhc6tTE.
Please use a white 8 x 11 sheet of paper and colored pencils. The paper should not be lined paper and it should not be 3-hold punched.
On the back of the paper provide the following information:
- student first and last name
- teacher's name
- grade level
This year's yearbook theme is: Mustangs in the Virtual World.
The cover design should be related to the theme. Please include Franconia Elementary 2020-2021 on the cover and remember to check your spelling!
Designs are due by Friday, October 30.
There are 2 ways to submit your cover for the contest:
Scan your cover and email a PDF to Mrs. Yortzidis at adyortzidis@fcps.edu.
OR
Drop your artwork off at Franconia Elementary:
- during the week of October 26 - October 30
- from 9am-12pm
- park in front lot and ring the buzzer --> someone inside will give you instructions on what to do with submission
- please do not drop it off prior to that week or outside of those times

Girl Scouts Interest Meeting
Tuesday, 10/13, 7:30pm
Girl Scouts is still going strong this Fall! Girl Scouts is a group where girls can connect: they make friends, learn new skills, and become leaders.
A new troop (Troop 53110) is being formed for Kindergarteners.
There are also existing troops for girls in grades 1-6 for girls to join as well!
Families of all grade levels are invited to learn more about Girl Scouts and get started with joining a troop by attending our meeting on Tuesday, October 13, at 7:30pm.
