New Family Orientation Monday, 10/5 @ 7pm
When: October 5, 2020 @ 7:00pm
What: An introduction to New SLES Families (and returning are welcome too!) about 'unique to Stratford Landing' fundraisers, where to go for help, and how to get involved with the school, etc. If you miss this one, don’t worry! We will have an orientation for new families each quarter. Bring any questions you have and we'll answer them. We'll also have some time to get to know other new families. SLES PTA Virtual "Take a Moment" Resource
It can be hard to find ways to take a moment during the virtual day. SLES PTA has a free resource for you and students to leverage and help take a break with or even start/end the day on a good note with your senses from the virtual day. SLES PTA Equity Team Seeks Diverse Leadership
The PTA is trying to start an Equity Team and seeking a co-chair. This Equity Team will work to ensure that our community is truly equitable for all our students and families. It is important our PTA leadership reflects the diversity of our families at Stratford Landing.
It is very important to have the voices of our entire community working with our equity team. The PTA believes that voices and leadership from our Black/African American, Hispanic and Asian families will make this team purposeful and meaningful.

Bingo in a Bag: BINGO Night Online! 10/13 @ 7pm
Please join us for BINGO with a twist - online!

Drive-up pick up for bags will be Fri. Oct. 9th from 3-6 pm at Gum Springs Community Center. Neighbors are encouraged to pick up for each other. Please send an email ahead to let us know if someone else will be picking up your Bingo Bags: community@slpta.org.

Pair Pizza with Bingo all day on Tuesday, 10/13
The PTA will host its first Restaurant Partnership Day of the school year on Tuesday, October 13. And first up --- Toppers Pizza-Groveton (Richmond Highway, in the Lowe’s shopping center)!!!! And it’s no coincidence that this first restaurant day falls on the same day as our virtual Bingo Night either. You can enjoy Toppers for dinner while you play bingo online with SLES!
How does it work:

SAVE THE DATE: Rock ‘n Run – November 13-23
Rock ‘n Run is on! It will be a virtual fundraising event, spanning 10 days. On November 13 it will kick off with a school-wide virtual morning gathering. Daily virtual activities will take place during the school week, and the event will close with a virtual pep rally on Monday, November 23. More details to follow. Mark your calendars!
