ST Math Parent Guide

SEES is using ST Math this year, a program which takes students on a journey with JiJi the Penguin to solve puzzles that promote a conceptual understanding of mathematics. Please see this parent guide to help your child successfully access the program and begin solving thousands of interactive puzzles.

Walking Wednesdays

Join other SEES Eagles for Walking Wednesdays!  This is a county-wide community program designed to promote physical and mental health. We encourage students and parents/guardians to take time each Wednesday to walk and connect with friends, neighbors and classmates before the school day and workday begins.  Wherever your walk takes you, we hope you will find others out walking and can greet one another from a distance.

Parents:  We'd love to see photos of our SEES families walking!  Feel free to share them with us on Twitter @SEESr3 with the hashtag: #EaglesWalkingWednesday. You could also send them via email to our PE teachers, Mr. Donnelly and Mr. Dexter

Walking Wednesdays will kick off this coming Wednesday (October 7) which is International Walk to School Day.  FCPS Safe Routes to School works in collaboration with Fairfax County Park Authority’s Move Your Way and Healthy Strides campaign.

From Our PTA

PTA Meeting:  Please join us for our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 PM.   To attend, please first become a PTA member via our Member Hub and then we will be able to securely provide the necessary link for this virtual PTA meeting. Membership fees are $10 for parents/guardians and $5 for SEES staff.  Please watch our welcome video as well. We hope you will consider joining as we have exciting things planned for this year!

Glittle Minds: This is a virtual after-school class in yoga and mindfulness for students in K-2nd grades and 3-6th grades. Through yoga, mindfulness, and directed meditation, children learn to calm the minds, increase focus, and build resilience. The sessions will be 8 weeks each:  K-2 will start on October 20 and Grades 3-6 will starts on October 19. Please note that there is a fee for these classes, and while this program is supported by the PTA, it is not a fundraiser and the PTA does not receive funds from it.
